The site is only 100 meters or so from our office, so we are keenly observing the progress of our new neighbors!  

Anyone who spends time close to the site cannot help, but notice that the frenzy of activity evident in spring and summer has subsided to the odd 4Xx navigating the site over the autumn.  The reason for the temporary lull is the discovery of ancient ruins of archeological significance.  The departments of Arts and Antiquates have been busy mapping the site and it has been decided that this piece of ancient heritage is to be incorporated into the Mall site itself (no, not a Starbucks!).

It will be interesting to see how the architects of the project will incorporate the archaeological site into their HI-TEC modern architecture.
