The "Good Country Index 2016" evaluates 163 countries, among them Cyprus that took a proud of 15-th place.

The Good Country Index measures what each country on our planet contributes to the common good of humanity. The Good Country promoting the idea of integrated world where every country is responsible not just for their own citizens, but for well-being of all of us and our planet. 

Data for the index is provided by many international organizations, including IFC, which is the member of the World Bank Group, UN and UNESCO. The purpose of this great work is to ascertain the contribution of leading countries into the well-being of humanity.

The allocation of places is based on 7 criteria: "Science and Technology", "International Peace and Security", "World Order", "Culture", "Planet and Climate", "Prosperity and Equality" "Health and Well-being." The entire mass of information from numerous international organizations, including the UN, is thoroughly studies to produce the final report for each country. 

With regard to Cyprus, it took the 6th place in the category “Planet and Climate”. For all seven categories and 35 subcategories “The Good Country Index 2016" final place in the rating of Cyprus took the 15th place among 163 countries. Russia is on the 72 place, Ukraine - 78, Russia - 79, Armenia - 82, Kazakhstan - 110.

High position of Cyprus in the ranking supports the actual facts that Cyprus is a friendly country with high regard for ecology and environment.
